From late April right the way through to mid September the blue winged olive make an appearance, they hatch out steadily throughout the day then migrate on mass in the evening to dispense their egg sack above a broken section of water, riffles or weirs are a perfect place. The spent flies are then carried downstream causing a spectacular evening rise, the Sherry Spinner is a great spent pattern
